A big thank you to SPC Credit Union for spending time with us at Christ City of Refuge! ❤️

Not only did they provide dinner for our residents and staff, but they also took the time to share valuable financial education and practical tools that can help our residents as they work toward greater stability and independence.

We’re incredibly grateful for community partners who don’t just support the work we do, but come alongside the people we serve and invest in their future.

Thank you, SPC, for the meal, the knowledge, and most of all, for caring about our residents. We appreciate you!

We want to give a shout out to WaySide Baptist Church in Bishopville.

Maybe they were living on the street and had to leave in a hurry, so whatever they had stayed behind. Maybe they just got out of prison and walked out with nothing. Maybe they never had much to begin with...

We make one call to our friends at WaySide. Same day, they're meeting us there. Jeans, shirts, shoes, whatever is needed. No questions, no waiting until next week. They just show up.

That kind of help matters more than people realize. Clean clothes that fit. Something of your own. It is a good way to start over.

WaySide, thank you for always saying yes. We couldn't do this work without partners like you!

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support and partnership of Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center.

Partnerships like this allow Christ City of Refuge to continue meeting people in some of their most difficult moments and helping connect them to the next step toward stability, recovery, and hope.

Thank you, Carolina Pines, for believing in the work being done and for investing in the people we have the privilege to serve. We are so thankful to have community partners who truly understand that changing lives takes all of us working together.

It’s hard to spend time with Jimmy Johnson and the team at Christ City of Refuge without seeing how much they care about the people they serve. They welcome neighbors working through homelessness, addiction and the challenges of life after incarceration - then walk alongside them with a safe place to stay and practical support as they rebuild.

At Carolina Pines, we know that a safe place to live, access to care and people willing to stand beside you all matter to a person’s health. We’re thankful to play a small part in Christ City of Refuge’s ongoing work by awarding them a $10,000 grant through the ScionHealth Gives foundation.

Tonight at the CareSouth Care Innovations Annual Gala, our Program Manager Wil Rhodes was named this year's Unsung Hero. We are so grateful to CareSouth for honoring him. And we are even prouder that he's ours.

Most people never see how much Wil puts in. What it costs him. The sleep he loses. The late calls. The tears and the laughs. The wins we celebrate and the days that don't go the way we hoped. He shows up for all of it anyway.

Thank you, CareSouth Care Innovations, for noticing his hard work for this community and for the people who need it most. Thank you also for serving the community the way that you do.
