Today we proudly celebrate AHEPA Sunday and honor the enduring legacy of the AHEPA family. Founded on the principles of Hellenism, education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, and family, AHEPA continues to inspire and strengthen our communities for generations.

As sisters of the Daughters of Penelope Thoas Chapter 198, we are grateful for the leadership, dedication, and service of all AHEPAns, especially our brothers of the Nathan Hale chapter, who work to preserve our faith, heritage, and commitment to helping others.

Our Daughters of Penelope chapter enjoyed a wonderful Cinco de Mayo–themed monthly meeting! Sister Vera truly spoiled us with delicious tacos and churros, thank you for such a thoughtful and festive spread.

We’re also grateful to everyone who contributed themed snacks to share, making the evening even more special.

During the meeting, we reflected on the success of our recent fundraisers and had meaningful discussions about upcoming initiatives to support our scholarships and give back to the community by volunteering and contributing. We also reviewed important upcoming dates for district workshops and our chapter elections.

As we look ahead, we are encouraging our newer sisters to get involved and consider joining the board. We deeply value our current leadership, and we believe that welcoming fresh perspectives will continue to strengthen and grow our chapter.

We were especially excited to initiate a new sister, Laura O’Neill!

A special thank you to Sister Anna for bringing the festive décor and blender, and to Sister Barbara for taking her role as official “blender operator” very seriously! Let’s just say, no one left thirsty. 🍹

Another productive and inspiring Daughters of Penelope monthly meeting! 💙

We were proud to reflect on the success of our recent lambadas fundraiser, made even more special by the time we spent side by side crafting together. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout at this meeting that we even had to bring in extra chairs to accommodate all of our sisters!

As always, giving back remains at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s organizing fundraisers, supporting those in need, or showing up for causes that matter, our commitment to service continues to guide us. We also discussed our participation in upcoming breast and ovarian cancer walks, important opportunities to stand in solidarity, raise awareness, and support those affected.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to begin have our May raffle fundraiser and continue finding ways to uplift and give back to our community.

A little teamwork, a lot of laughter, and plenty of palms 🌿💚

Today our DOP sisters got together to assemble palms for tomorrow, always a fun way to spend time catching up and getting things ready behind the scenes!

Join us tomorrow for Palm Sunday as we begin Holy Week,come by, bring your family, and grab a palm. We’d love to see you there! 🌿✨
