Sheriff Seeks Public’s Help in Locating Missing Ohio County Teen

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile last seen in the Hartford community.

Authorities say Brooklyn Igleheart, 15, was last seen around 4:00 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2026. She is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 186 pounds.

Officials urge anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 270-298-4411. Law enforcement says tips from the public can be critical in locating missing persons safely and quickly.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Hello everyone!

February 28th we will be hosting another swap event at the OC HUB.

Swaps are a great opportunity for the community to come together and donate items they no longer use or maybe find something they need or want.

🚫 This is a no cash event! 🚫

Bagged lunches will be available! If you know someone in need please send them our way 💙

We would like you to bring your items the day of the event beforehand but if you want to donate early there is a bench in front of 105 Midtown Plaza Hartford, KY where items can be dropped off at any time and we can also arrange pick ups.
(picture below of bench)

This is a great opportunity and excuse to do a little early Spring cleaning.

You do not have to have a physical copy of the flyer to enter the swap and you do not need to bring anything to participate.
We would love to have the community get involved and donate some information such as job training, food assistance, and more at the event that we can hand out. If you are a non profit or community resource in the area please reach out to us directly at [email protected].

Items appropriate for the swap:
📚Books
🏫School supplies
👚Clothes and footwear
🍽Kitchenware
🔔Household items and necessities
🏀Toys
🥫Food

And of course skills that you are willing to do for free.
Please do not bring any heavy or bulky items as donations left will be taken to shelters and other non profits.
If you would like to donate please email us at [email protected].

I also want to give a shout out to The Hub for letting us set up at the location again. Thank you all so much.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: SNAP Benefit Update

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) continues to operate during October 2025 and individuals will receive their October benefits as usual.

Because of the federal government shutdown, Kentucky has been told that November 2025 SNAP benefits may be delayed if the shutdown continues. It is not yet known whether November benefits will be loaded on EBT cards on time, or at all, while the shutdown continues.

What SNAP participants should know:

• You will still get your October benefits.
• You can keep using any benefits already on your EBT card.
• This issue does not affect your eligibility for SNAP.
• DCBS offices are open and still taking applications. This includes benefits from the Simplified Assistance for the Elderly (SAFE) and Elderly Simplified Application Project (ESAP) programs.

For the latest updates, visit chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dcbs, check your kynect.ky.gov account, or watch for official DCBS texts or emails.
