Twain lived here from 1874 to 1891 with his wife Olivia and their three daughters. Twain wrote many of his enduring masterpieces while he lived here, including Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Please note we are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Easter and the 4th of July. For updated tour schedule and information, visit MarkTwainHouse.org. On November 7, The Mark Twain House & Museum will bring together writers, editors, scholars, journalists, and educators for Creative Writing in the Age of AI, a day of conversation about creativity, authorship, copyright, education, and the future of the written word.

Moderated by John Warner, the symposium will feature Lydia Millet, David Baldacci, Ron Charles, Jane Rosenzweig, Emily Hockaday, Bhamati Viswanathan, Jeffrey C. Dixon, Damien P. Williams, Matt Seybold, and others in conversations about the questions generative AI is raising for writers, readers, educators, and creative communities.
