Purpose:
Helping both people and animals in crisis while bringing more awareness about the subtle signs and risks of the many aspects and forms of domestic violence, educating the community about how to safely report as a victim or as witness to someone who is in danger; while supporting and encouraging victims to stand up to their abusers. Empowerment, outreach, legal support and education to both victim and the community, especially by some that have experienced domestic violence themselves, can go a long way and possibly save a life. By helping properly re home and rehabilitate animals as well, while working with some to specifically become emotional support animals and later help provide comfort while meeting with victims; more than one life is saved in the process. They become ‘Paws for Life’, and both person and animal become survivors together.
