Representation matters. Support matters. Recognition matters. West Hartford is the home to American School for the Deaf and often recognized as being the birthplace of American Sign Language. We feel so lucky that our community gets to experience such a wonderful contribution to the town. Thank you to ALL that made this possible💗

A beautiful new mural is coming to Blue Back Square! 🎨✨

This incredible mural project, being painted on the public library in Blue Back Square, celebrates and honors our Deaf/Hard of Hearing and DeafBlind communities. More than just a work of art, it serves as a powerful educational message that promotes awareness, inclusion, accessibility, and community pride on a larger-than-life scale.

We are excited to see our community represented through this meaningful collaboration. Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life and helping make our stories, experiences, and culture visible for all to see.
