Survivors advocates, and legislators in Connecticut held a press conference yesterday to raise awareness about FGM/C and call for action to protect women’s and girls. A powerful art installation showed the lives impacted across the state.

📢The Connecticut Senate has unanimously passed SB 259 to ban FGM/C and make it a felony to perform on minors, a major step forward after years of survivor-led advocacy. The bill now moves to the House and must pass there for it to become law.
