In observance of , CRCOG is closed. We honor a pivotal moment in American history: June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
Juneteenth is a day to celebrate Black freedom, reflect on our history, and recommit to a more just and equitable future for all.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and joyful Juneteenth. 🖤❤️💚

On June 11, 2026, New Britain broke ground on a major expansion of Willow Street Park. This project will double the park's size and create new walking paths, handball courts, and a unique 14-foot hillside slide. But at its heart is a memorial honoring Jaccqueline “Mimi” Torres‑Garcia, a 12‑year‑old girl whose death in 2025 deeply affected the community.

Willow Street Park is designed not only to improve recreational space, but also to create a safe, welcoming place for families while providing a lasting tribute to Mimi. A special thank you to Mayor Bobby Sanchez for supporting New Britian's greenways and making space for community. This kind of leadership is exactly what makes our region stronger!

Parks are more than recreation. They're community. Congratulations, New Britain, Connecticut! 🎉

🚦 Do the roads in your town flood? Tell us about it!
Our public survey is now live, and we want to hear from YOU. Whether you’re a resident navigating daily commutes or municipal staff planning for the future of your community, your input matters.

🌦️Your feedback will directly inform Inland Connecticut’s Transportation Resilience Improvement Plan. By helping us identify where our local transportation network is most vulnerable, you will contribute to making our roads safer, stronger, and more resilient to flooding.

🎉 What an incredible day! 🎉

Our 2026 Annual Meeting brought together municipal leaders and partners to reflect on the past year and look ahead towards what's possible. From our keynote speak Joe D’Ambrosio, to our Beacon of the Region and Regional Excellence Award recipients, the day was a powerful reminder of how collaboration drives our region forward.

Thank you everyone who showed up and showed out for the 2026 Annual Meeting! We can't wait to see what we accomplish together in the year ahead! 💙

Brenny’s brought his talents up to Hartford, and he’s here with a purpose. He’s diving into the differences between municipalities across Connecticut to better understand the historic and systemic factors behind inequities, especially those impacting minority communities.

Happy Thursday. Meet Anna Hilary, a rising senior at the UConn studying Environmental Science and Resource Economics. Anna's spending her summer with us as a Sustainable CT. She's no stranger to the fellowship (this is her second year!) and no stranger to the region either, having grown up right here inTown of Glastonbury CT

This summer, she's excited to dig into municipal-scale operations across the area's larger towns and cities. Off the clock, Anna is a proud Song of Achilles superfan. She loved it so much that she named one of her cats after it. 😺
