I won’t do this story justice, but it was so encouraging I felt it should be shared.
Every year the IATVhare scramble series has a banquet to handout awards for the ATV riders. Shane, Braden, Uncle Derrick, Uncle Jeff, cousins, Devin, and Dawson all have ridden in the Iowa series. After Zachary passed away they named an award after him and it goes to an up and coming young rider who has good sportsmanship and is an overall good rider. Shane has been going to these banquets every year to help the organizer (Andy) present the award. It is just a really cool thing they do! Anyway this year some of the guys who won the ‘hole shot’ tournament decided to give all their money they won to Shane in honor of Zachary and another one matched that amount (so doubled it). They gave up their prize $$ to donate to Zach for us to give to whatever organization we choose. How crazy cool is that? Also let me be clear these riders don’t know Shane and never met Zachary. They donated $1500 in honor of a child they never met and a family they don’t know! I just can’t get over it! Andy (the head ofthe IATV hare scramble) has never shared this award and given it to anyone without getting choked up talking about Zachary. It has been 10 years since Zachary passed away and the Lord still answers our prayers to use his life to bring Jesus glory. Romans 8:28 says ‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
We know the Lord keeps His promises.
Zachary has been gone from earth longer than he was on it and the Lord still uses him! I can’t fully describe or understandnd it except that God is a good God who remains faithful! I hope that encourages someone today as much as it did us!
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
