Whether it’s the inspiring gardens, the architecture, the history or the fabulous flower arrangements created by Garden Club of Virginia members, with 29 tours to
choose from, Historic Garden Week in Virginia offers something for everyone. The only statewide house and garden tour in the nation, this annual springtime ritual
includes access to private properties in communities large and small, many open
for the first time to the public.
There are numerous ways to organize your HGW trip, but the best place to begin is the 2026 Historic Garden Week Guidebook! The Guidebook is on route this week to approximately 800 retail locations where you can pick up a complimentary Guidebook. Not in Virginia? You can purchase a Guidebook thru March 6th. The nearly 130 private properties on tour this spring cover every category: garden-lovers, history-lovers, architecture and waterfront. The Guidebook provides tour recommendations in each of these categories as well as a map to make planning easier. Whether you’re interested in a driving tour, walking tour, trolley or shuttle, we’ve got you covered!
Tickets to all tours, including Little Oak Spring, which is a timed-entrance ticket, begin on Monday, February 16th at 10:00 AM.
