Been a long but rewarding week. Everyone is a little tired but we have one more day then everyone can get a little break. Our next big event will be the Mackinaw Bridge Walk on September 7th. Come on up and say hi, we will be on the Mackinaw City side of the bridge.

Today we spent some time with a great bunch of kids. The Clare Police Youth Academy is running all this week. Today we talked about the Mounted Division. They have had so many other things that they have been learning this week, it’s a great opportunity for the kids to learn about law enforcement and much more. It’s always a great time interacting with the young people from across our community.

The group was busy Friday evening with the with the figure 8 derby and fire works sponsored by the Clare Co Fairgrounds and then for the 4th of July parade in Harrison. We were not able to get a lot of pictures due to being so busy. We hope everyone had a great and safe weekend!

Big shout out to the Brook in Gladwin MI for the invitation to their Strawberry Festival today. Jasper and Cole had a great time meeting all the new friends, even the sheep. It was a great turnout despite all the rain. Thank you to all the residents and staff who made it a great time for all both young and old.
