Celebrating culture, community, and connection. 🌎

Our Learning Center transformed from classroom spaces into international destinations for our first-ever Multicultural Day! Students got to experience the sights, sounds, traditions, and flavors from around the world by visiting various booths. Altogether, more than 13 countries were chosen by the students to be represented at the event which fostered curiosity, respect, and appreciation for diversity.

Tonight, Dr. Terry Hamlin, President & CEO of The Center for Discovery, joined Italian Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli at the United Nations in New York City for the inauguration of the exhibition Inclusion and Disability: The Solfagnano Charter – “Nothing About Us, Without Us.”

Joining Dr. Hamlin were Gabrielle Scott, Executive Vice President of Development
and Cesare Casella, Chief of the Department of Nourishment Arts – Food & Farming.

As our collaboration with the Italian government continues to grow, we are proud to be part of a global conversation advancing inclusion, accessibility, and opportunity for people with disabilities.

Last week, Sweet Hill Farm opened up for a one-of-a-kind goat experience for staff and their families! Activities ranged from feeding and petting baby goats, learning about the milking process, as well as a cheese-making demonstration and sampling. Fun was haaaaad by all—goats included! 🐐

We love opportunities where staff and their families can come together and enjoy the beautiful offerings of our campus and programs!

Last week, a dream came to life!

Countless hours of practice, set building, costume creation, and preparation all led to a vibrant production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, produced by the Discovery Dramatic Arts program. 🌈

Our outstanding cast of actors wove humor and heart into the story through both live and filmed scenes, knitting together a beautiful show that captivated audiences.

Congratulations to the cast and crew on another smash hit production! Special thanks to the TCFD staff from all around The Center that helped make this show a success.
