Throwback: Chattanooga Seafood Bash 🦐🚚

We still remember the buzz at the Chattanooga Seafood Bash — the warm crowd, the smell of seafood on the air, and the smiles from everyone who stopped by Mary Lou’s. That day reminded us why we do what we do: food brings people together and creates moments that stick with you.

Yesterday, we took a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Today, we want to extend our gratitude to them and to the families who carry their memory forward.

We are thankful for their sacrifice and for the freedoms we share because of them.

May we never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Mary Lou wasn’t just a name on a truck — she was a co‑founder of the Free Medical Clinic of Oak Ridge and a driving force behind the idea that food brings people together.

The idea that grew into Mary Lou’s Food Truck started with her belief that sharing a meal can open doors, start conversations, and help build stronger, healthier communities. From the very beginning, Mary Lou’s was about more than lunch — it was about gathering around the table, supporting neighbors, and finding new ways to show up for the people who need care.

Every time the truck rolls out, every plate that goes out, and every smile that comes back is a reminder of Mary Lou’s vision: that food can be a way to bring people in, share stories, and make our community a little kinder.
