The Edenton Tea Party Chapter hosted a Genealogy Seminar on May 23rd at the Historic Chowan County Courthouse, featuring a panel of esteemed speakers including Taryn Kennedy, National Vice Chair for the America250 Committee and a Research Specialist for the Specialty Research Committee; Dr. Shannon Combs Bennett, Virginia Chair of the DAR-DNA network; and Dr. Mark Attucks, fifth-generation descendant of Crispus Attucks, the first casualty of the Boston Massacre, to an audience of 50 local and regional attendees, offering insights into African American genealogy and history.

Our Chapter was well represented at the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Halifax Resolves! Chapter members Martha Smith, Beth Taylor, Cynthia Herlong and Bonnie Henn attended many of the events spanning from last Friday to Sunday! The event, sponsored by the town of Halifax and the Halifax Sons of the American Revolution was well attended by members from across North Carolina and many out of state members. Huzzah!
