Ride Safe, Ride Smart

Ride Safe, Ride Smart Ride Safe Ride Smart is an annual safety dirt bike ride for children. Our mission is to provide a safe and encouraging environment for children to ride.

This event takes place locally in Harrells, NC and by local volunteers within Sampson County. A lay out of the day begins with registration, Children suit up and we divide them into age groups and have a parade lap through wooded trails with at least one adult leading and one adult following. Then then go with their age group to one of three designated areas where we have adults instructing child

ren on different fundamentals and techniques such as braking, jumping, and maneivering. After the short class rotations, children park and gather at a stage where different individuals discuss rules of the track, simple maintence of a dirtbike, and safety gear. We have a guest speaker with a devotion. We have a drawing for prizes donated from local dealers, businesses, friends, etc. We also have concessions such as hot dogs, chips, drinks, and snacks throughout the day. The day is used to glorify God. It is a family oriented event and focuses on the safety of riding a dirtbike as well as the children learning technique and riding through areas they may have felt they couldn't do before. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of GOD, you will receive what he has promised. (Hebrews 10:35-36)

We will have concessions on site for lunch only. After lunch Sibling Squeeze will be set up with some fresh lemonade. It’s going to be hot so pack lots of water.

Off Hwy 421
Between Clinton and Wilmington
Take 41 West. Go 5 miles to Black River Ln
Turn right into Mossy Log Subdivision, go
2 Miles to the end of the Dirt road

We will have signs up at the end of the dirt road

🏁 Registration to start at 9am and classes to follow at 10am

Parents can bring their bikes and ride after lunch!

✔️Allowed:
Dirtbikes (adults & older siblings can ride after lunch)
Golf carts (not allowed on trails)
Side x sides (not allowed on trails)

❌ NOT allowed:
Fourwheelers are prohibited from the premises to maintain the events focus on dirtbikes
