Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue, Inc.

If God leads me to it, he will lead me through it! We provide equine rescue regardless of age or disability. Our primary focus is Animal Cruelty cases.

Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue, Inc., located in Harrah, Oklahoma, is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that strives to improve the lives of neglected, starved, and abused horses. We provide Rehabilitation, Education and Adoption Services. We promote and teach horse care and humane, natural methods for training horses. We work closely with The Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division and The Oklahoma

County Sheriff's Office with their Equine related Animal Cruelty cases. We also assist any other local/rural County Sheriff's Office who request our assistance. Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue, Inc., was founded by Natalee Cross in 2001. We have grown tremendously over the years and many County and City agencies depend upon us to assist them with their Equine related cases. We provide all medical care and housing for all horses seized by law enforcement that request our assistance. Our goal is the Rescue, Rehabilitation and Rehome. Since 2001, we have rescued 1,882 horses. Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue, Inc. Board of Directors are:

It’s $5 Friday and It’s been extremely busy here! We worked 3 cases, 3 different counties, in one week, bringing in a total of 12 horses. As you can imagine, the veterinary bills add up quick for 12 horses, plus all their additional needs. If you are able to donate to assist, we would be greatly appreciative.

Our sweet little Princess Hannah is doing amazing! We are so thankful for Dr. Amanda Willis with Oklahoma City Equine Clinic. This sweet girl is thriving and we might be beyond smitten by her cute little self!

We also want to give everyone a big thank you for supporting us during the amazing matching funds. We met our goal! So a huge thank you for all your amazing support. Over the weekend we got a request to assist with an orphan foal that wasn’t doing well. We immediately got her in with our amazing veterinarian at Oklahoma City Equine Clinic where she has been hospitalized since Saturday night. She has been on fluids and antibiotics and is doing really well and thankfully gets to come home today. As I’m sure you can imagine, hospital stay isn’t cheap! 📌This is the last week that we have the matching funds up to $5000 and we could sure use it to assist with paying for this sweet foals hospital bill.

Late Saturday evening, we received an urgent request to assist this mare who had just foaled. While we do not focus on horses at kill pens; we were asked to help, as the mare and baby were in a very stressful environment and needed immediate help. We welcomed this pair around midnight Saturday night. Thankfully, momma is calming down and baby is doing well. Momma has never been handled and is just a baby herself at only 2 years old.

The last 2 months have been extremely low on donations and our posts haven’t been reaching our followers. I just want to remind everyone that donations are so important for our organization and the animals we support. I understand there is no urgency to donating for horses that are safe, but it’s equally important that we are able to continue to support the horses in our care, and have the available funds to assist additional horses in need. I have been very reserved on bringing in new horses but the need is still great and we want to be able to help.

We have assisted a few elderly horse owners that were no longer able to provide their horses the care they needed. With that said, these horses are just companion animals and that lowers their chances for adoption. We currently have 118 horses in our care and donations are greatly needed.

I’m coming to you today, to ask for your support. Please engage with this post and help get our posts out to our followers. Please consider donating to the amazing horses in our care.

I know we don’t post as often, and I want to try to do more. So let me ask you this, what do you want to see? And when it comes to donating, what do you like to assist with? I see organizations raising large amount of funds to mass bail horses from kill pens, that’s never been our focus and will continue not to be. I believe there are ways to assist horses before they land in the kill pens, but how do we raise the funds for those horses, who aren’t considered at risk? I would love to hear your thoughts. I’m not asking for arguments in the comments. I just want to be able to ask the tough questions and try to expand our assistance, as our focus as always been animal cruelty cases and that will continue to be our priority. But I know other horses are in limbo out there and could use a soft landing instead of going to the kill pens. We can’t do this alone! It truly takes a village!

It’s $5.00 Friday! You may remember back in October, one of our formerly adopted horses was found a local kill pen. We fundraised to get her back and once she was back and safe, we identified her as My Halo. She had been adopted when she was 2 years old. She is now 12 years old. We also quickly learned she was pregnant. My Halo foaled a beautiful little filly on Wednesday. Momma is doing great. Donations are welcome for the continued care of momma and baby! We also need to name this sweet girl!

Hey Everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted! We survived the snow storm with no issues but then we immediately got sick and now we play the daily game of, are we sick again or is it allergies?! Goodness, this month has been a beating. As you know, it doesn’t matter if we aren’t feeling it, the animals depend on us, so the daily care has been on going. Everyone is loving this weather! Enjoy our random photos of the day!

Today is $5 Friday and also Farrier Day. We have our farriers out every other Friday. They work hard to keep our crew maintained. We have had a few new arrivals which I will try to post about soon.

Just a friendly reminder, we are a non profit, 501(c)3 organization that depends on donations to support the many horses and other livestock that we take in from animal cruelty cases and occasional owner surrenders. Your support is truly life saving and we couldn’t do this without each of you! We are eternally grateful for each and every one of you.

Today is the last day of 2025, which means it’s the last day to make those end of year donations. Your donations support horses like Sebastian. Sebastian came into our program emaciated along with 5 other horses. He is gaining weight and looking great today! We can’t do this alone! It truly takes a village. Remember, we are a non profit, 501(c)3 organization. Your donations are tax deductible and truly makes a difference for the horses and other livestock in our care.

As we all know, the cost of caring for so many horses and other livestock is never ending and we truly appreciate all our amazing supporters, donors, adopters, volunteers, and friends. We couldn’t do this without each and every one of you. 2026 will mark our 25th anniversary rescuing horses and other livestock.
