The City of Kerrville has issued a precautionary advisory after identifying a sanitary sewer overflow near Town Creek.

Until further notice, avoid contact with:
• Town Creek
• The Guadalupe River downstream toward Louise Hays Park and Kerrville-Schreiner Park

City officials are actively assessing the situation. This advisory is being issued as a precaution while water quality concerns are investigated.

If you have family, friends, volunteers, or cleanup crews working in the area, please help spread the word by sharing this update.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised just shy of $330 to support our ongoing flood relief efforts.

Every donation helps cover fuel, equipment, dump fees, safety supplies, contractor bags, gloves, N95 masks, and other essential resources needed as we continue helping families recover. If you’re a City of Ingram resident and are continuing cleanup efforts after the flooding, this resource may help.

The City of Ingram has debris dumpsters available this week from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for City of Ingram residents.

📍 Location
The dumpsters are located on the lower portion of the Ingram Volunteer Fire Department property. To access the site, turn onto Ingram Loop and follow it to the fire department. The gate on the left-hand side will be open, and personnel will be available to assist and verify residency.

What you’ll need:
• A valid photo ID showing a City of Ingram address, or
• A current utility bill showing a City of Ingram address.

We hope this information helps make the cleanup process a little easier for those continuing recovery efforts.

A quick recap from the last two days.

Over the last couple of days, we’ve continued working alongside families in the Kerrville area, doing what we can to help them begin the long road to recovery.

We’ve helped clear flood-damaged homes and properties, hauled a couple loads of debris with the dump trailer, cleaned up yards, and started tearing down fencing that was completely washed away by the floodwaters. We’re also hoping to help one family rebuild that fence as recovery continues.

The devastation is difficult to put into words. Every street tells a different story, and every family is facing its own challenges. But in the middle of the heartbreak, we’ve also witnessed something incredible: neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers showing up without hesitation, and communities coming together to lift one another up.

Your support is what makes this possible.

Every donation helps cover fuel, dump fees, equipment, supplies, safety gear, and other expenses that allow us to keep showing up where we’re needed most. Every trailer load hauled away is one less burden for a family trying to rebuild.

Volunteers are needed at Gibson’s to help tackle the mud left behind by the recent flooding. If you’re in the area and have a few hours to spare, your time and willingness to help would make a real difference for the Gibson family as cleanup continues.

One of our Field Team Leads is currently in the Kerrville area helping families clear flood debris, and the dump trailer they’re using is nearly full.

We’re looking for any information on approved locations where flood debris can be dumped in Kerrville or the surrounding communities.

If you know of an open landfill, transfer station, temporary debris site, or any other authorized location accepting flood debris, please leave a comment or send us a message.

Recovery efforts continue, and volunteers are still needed to help families clean out flood-damaged homes in the Comfort/Center Point area.

Volunteer Meet-Up

🕗 Every morning at 8:00 AM

Volunteers are helping remove debris, clean homes, and assist with recovery efforts across multiple properties.

Current supply needs include:
• Bleach
• Pump sprayers for bleach
• Dehumidifiers
• Road gravel
• Porta potties
• Hand tools
• Mops, buckets, towels, and squeegees

If you’re in the area and have a few hours to give, your help can make a real difference. If you’re unable to volunteer, consider sharing this information so it reaches someone who can.
