Journey Winds INC was launched in the spring of 2023. The inspiration came from our own experiences with losing parents, a child, and other loved ones in rural communities with limited resources.

As a non-profit we run-on hard-earned fundraising and loving donations. Nobody draws a paycheck and we never charge for assistances. We hold our clients and our donors with extreme confidentiality. We have lost count of the number of families we have assisted. However, we can tell you that since we launched~ we have given just over $42,300 to families in need. We are humbled beyond belief by this. Funeral assistance, cremation assistance, travel expenses, plane tickets, gas, meals, legal expenses, and more has gone from Journey Winds to hurting families. Grief support groups, trauma management, educational resources, legal resources, Death Cafes, hospice support, estate planning workshop, and one-to-one support!!!

Death and trauma are the great equalizers of mankind. We are in this together. You are not alone.

This weekend on May 2nd we will be hosting Prom on the Prairie, by far our biggest fundraiser of the year. A night to dance, laugh, love, and be together as a community.

I will dance in honor of Asa Woodard. I will wear something beautiful (we don't get to do that often!) I will laugh out loud. I will lift my glass. I will share smiles with my friends and neighbors. Knowing that this night will fund others when they need it the most. That is the duality of Grieving.
