CALLING ALL TROOPS, LEADERS, AND VOLUNTEERS!

As we prepare for our Scouting Centennial Celebration on July 25, 2026, we are seeking support from troops, packs, crews, leaders, parents, and volunteers across our scouting community to help make this historic event a success.

This event is expected to bring together scouts, families, alumni, and community members from throughout the Rio Grande Valley as we celebrate 100 years of scouting. To ensure a safe, engaging, and memorable experience for all attendees, we need all hands on deck!

How You Can Help:

• Volunteer your troop to host or assist with an activity station.
• Help manage event activities, games, and demonstrations.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, registration, parking, water stations, and guest support.
• Provide additional leadership support throughout the day.

We are also looking for a volunteer to serve as Program Director to support Roy Hernandez and act as the central point of contact for the event. This individual will help oversee logistics, communicate with participating units, support station leaders, and coordinate event operations throughout the planning process and on the day of the event.

Whether you can help for a few hours or the entire day, your support will play a vital role in the success of this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

If your troop, pack, crew, or individual volunteers are interested in participating, please contact us as soon as possible so we can begin assigning stations and responsibilities.

Please reach out to Raul Sosa or Tony Garza if your troop, pack, crew, or individual volunteers would like to host or assist with a station. Early commitments will help us coordinate activities, assign responsibilities, and ensure a successful Centennial Celebration for all attendees.

We appreciate your support and look forward to working together to make this historic event a memorable experience for our scouting community.

Come one, come all! Wewanoma Lodge and the Rio Grande Council Campmasters invite you to join us in getting Camp Perry ready for Summer Camp this Saturday June 6 from 9am-5pm!

Bring your sash, water bottle, and cheerful spirit!! All Scouts invited not just Arrowmen or Campmasters. Adults, bring your weedeaters, pressure washer, painting gear and other tools.

Don’t forget your bug spray and work gloves! Make sure to bring a copy of your Scouting Health Form parts A & B with you to camp.

Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication have protected the freedoms we cherish every day.

As Scouts, leaders, families, and community members, we remember those who gave all and reflect on the values of service, patriotism, and gratitude.
