Thank you to everyone who braved the weather with us Saturday and to everyone who worked on their own throughout the week that helped us make this town a cleaner place! We had a decent turnout Saturday despite the circumstances. Charlie Baker, the Hanson Facilities Director, and Norman Burns, from the Hanson Highway Department, were rock stars, traversing the town collecting bags and giant pieces of trash that our volunteers had located but could not move. The Hanson 4H club came out in force and their enthusiasm helped motivate us all. We had our friends from the Hanson Action Club chasing away the storm with their sunny attitudes. So many of our other friends and neighbors were there that it would be a very long post if we were to list everyone individually, but you all know who you are and please know your work was appreciated! Stay tuned as we release a full album and stats about what this hard-working group accomplished.

One last note... it was 16 years ago that Sue Gaspar came to us with the idea of hosting a town cleanup, so we heartily thank her for planting the seed that has been bringing our community together every year for just under two decades.

The Hanson CleanUp GreenUp is still a go for today. If you can't make it because of rain, but would still like to clean up, you can pick another time to clean up during the weekend instead. The Hanson Highway Department has agreed to extend their pickup to Monday, just call and let them know where you left the bags. Their number is 781-293-2822. And if you are cleaning up another time, you can come grab some bags between 9 and 11:30 am Saturday at the Thomas Mill and are welcome to join us for pizza at 11:30 too.

If you CAN make it today, grab a raincoat and a hat and join us to get started at Thomas Mill at 9am.

The Hanson CleanUp GreenUp is still a go for Satuday despite the rain forecast. It looks like it is supposed to be light that day. If you can't make it because of said rain then you could clean on Sunday instead.
