Central Valley Roadrunners

Central Valley Roadrunners We are a group of runners based in Central California We are a local law enforcement running team named the Central Valley Roadrunners.

Our team is made up entirely of California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officers working primarily in the Central Valley region. Our running team is preparing for the prestigious Annual Challenge Cup Relay, aka Baker to Vegas Relay. This is the second largest law enforcement competition in the world, second only to the World Police and Fire Summer Games. The purpose of this highly competitive event is to

promote camaraderie, physical fitness, pride, and teamwork among a broad spectrum of law enforcement. It also presents a unique and more positive view of law enforcement to the public we serve. Our primary event is the Challenge Cup Relay Race, also known as "Baker to Vegas". This race is the second largest law enforcement sporting competition in the world, involving nearly 6,000 runners. The race course is broken into 20 stages and covers 120 miles. Many of our runners enter local races as well as other keys events year around.
