Does anyone who lives along Ketchers Cottages, the garages behind there and the track alongside the Rec, have CCTV?

Also, does anyone on Fountain Road or the bottom of Galley Hill have CCTV which covers the main road?

It looks like plans for the village shop are moving forward. I'm not saying anything more because Murphy's Law is real.
Unless anyone has anything else which needs raging about I will be deactivating this account soon.

With regards to the censorship issue where the same few people are being targeted on the Selborne Village group; I recently was in the same room as Jon Fuller, so I (very politely) introduced myself.
Honestly, was a little bit proud he recognised me 🤭

We had a short conversation. I won't repeat what he said (because I'm not a complete bitch) other than "You know what it's like. Someone asks me to remove something so i leave it 3-4 days, then delete it."
Now, I'm not (always) unreasonable. However... Enabling this type of attitude is participation & it means we've regressed several decades. We ~ The Great Unwashed ~ are now seen as real peoples. Wee cayn reed 'n' right 'n' tawk proper 'n'all, Mister.

I basically said (because i might be a teeny 🤏 little bit of a stubborn bitch)...
● Maybe just don't ● No-one gets to decide if we're allowed to think for ourselves, speak for ourselves, what we're allowed to say, etc ● You don't get to decide if we're members of the village ● You don't get to decide if we are valued members of the village ● It's taking the p**s ● If it's not threatening or abusive you have no right to delete anything ● If your friends run to you saying they don't like or agree with someone else's perspective & ask you to delete stuff; say no ● Then find better friends.

Then we all went on our merry way.

Hopefully something went in & there will be a more welcoming response to those of you who have been effectively pushed out of Village matters.

This is not a protest page.

In relation to the proposed building on the Punfle...
EVERYONE should be able to speak openly & BE HEARD.

• It's a way to pick the bones out of all the little snippets of information & see where the truth lies.
• It's a way to find out why most of the village knew nothing about the plan to build on the Punfle.
• It's a way to find out why this huge community issue has been kept under the radar for so long, yet claims to be for our benefit.
Please share with anyone who has any connection to the village, any conservation groups, heritage groups, etc.
In a couple of days I will begin sharing posts with the main questions people have regarding the shop.

At suitable times I will run votes WHICH WILL NOT BE INTERFERED WITH.

As one condescending ¾ life-crisis suffering gentleman informed me, this is a democratic country.
I'm no genius, but I do believe transparency is paramount for a truely democratic society to function.

While the main issue is the plans for the Punfle, I have been told that many people feel they are not welcome to engage on other village groups.
Please feel free to connect with one-another on a personal level here, the same way that all communities should. Share photos, stories, ask questions, make suggestions, advertise charities, etc.
Go back to the way it used to be.

Free speech is actively encouraged but please make sure you
• Understand the parameters into which Freedom of Speech fall.
• Understand the difference between stereotyping & racism.
• Understand the difference between sarcasm & bullying. Punctuation is your friend.

I have something of an aversion to rules, so just don't be a muppet. Pretty please.
