WHAT WE DO :
Often after a tragedy, people who can find alternative or emergency shelter have no possible way to recover their belongings and personal effects. This is not a trivial problem or a rare occurrence. During the tornado disaster in 1997, residents who literally had their lives torn apart were faced with the inability to save what remained. Aftermath was there, taking truck
s through damage neighborhood and finding a way to help families take their first steps toward starting over. The need for aftermath is not limited to community calamites. Individual losses, such as a house fire or even a family's financial situation, place a family in dire need of assistance with relocation. We can't turn them down, and that is why we are asking for your help
WHY WE DO IT:
Several years ago our founder began to see how a simple moving truck could be his own ministry toward helping people during their worst times. Along with a moving truck is the necessity of several strong arms and warm hearts that work together to complete a task that is easy nor inexpensive. We began using our truck more and more often to help people, and word quickly spread to churches, government agencies, and disaster relief operations that we could be relied upon as a very valuable resource. That necessitated the need to organize, incorporate, and begin the even greater task of trying to keep our own financial needs met. WHAT CAN YOU DO:
As with any good cause, financial contributions (no matter how small), are appreciated so much. We are a 501(c)3 and donations are tax deductible. If you are a member of the press, mention our worthy and unique cause. Allow us to be heard, and help our organization be blessed through publicity so we may keep helping our neighbors.
