What started as a small group of kids who love to fish, has grown into 20 members between 5th - 12th grade for our 2024 season, plus a number of younger anglers now part of our Bass Buddies Program. Our youth anglers participate in ma

ny tournaments throughout the year, including the Junior and High School State Championships for the Ohio B.A.S.S. For 2023, our anglers participated in 2 travel tournaments at Dale Hollow Lake and Lake Cumberland. In addition to fishing in tournaments, we also participate in Community Service Projects, Conservation Projects, the Tristate Outdoor Show and more. You can also look for us at the Bassmaster Classic - an event we have attended 4 years in a row, including South Carolina, Tennessee and even Texas! We plan on heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2024. If you have a project or event that you may need our help with, please let us know. CYB relies heavily on our volunteer boat captains. If you know of anyone that may be interested in helping us during a tournament, please email [email protected]. Our youth anglers select their lakes and finalize our tournament schedules in February each year and we'd be happy to send out our schedule to potential boat captains. Cincinnati Youth Bass Anglers showed up ready to battle for the Ohio State Championship title and their chance to compete at the Bassmaster National Championships this weekend at Salt Fork Lake.

Congratulations to these anglers who made that dream a reality!

High School Anglers Maddie Dawson and Jonah Phillips dominated the high school division this weekend. After leading day 1, they got it done on day 2 as well.

Please help us congratulate your 2026 Ohio State Champions and big bass winners - Maddie and Jonah!!!

This is Maddie's 2nd trip to Nationals. She is our 1st CYB angler to not only accomplish this milestone twice, but to do it in back to back seasons! Awesome job team!!!

In the Junior division, fishing was especially tough on day 1 with only 1 team catching fish. CYB team Kase and Easton made the necessary changes on day 2 though, and secured 2nd Place and their slot to the Junior National Championships! Way to go boys! Go make Ohio proud!

We are proud of every CYB team who showed up and gave it their all this year.

Finished up our first event yesterday at Dale Hollow.

Anglers and Captains fished both days. Day 1 as teams in a fun tournament. Day 2 anglers and captains competed individually.

It was a beautiful weekend with great friends!

On to Kincaid Lake at the end of the month.
