Poor lonely Niko is still waiting for his final home! He is 11 yrs old, but doesn't act it. He gets along with little dogs. Not sure about cats. He will be getting his dental and neuter on September 11th.
He is a really easy boy, just wanting loving. 🙏🙏💔💔

SERENA WAS ADOPTED!

Serena was a hard one to let go of. ❤️

If we didn’t already have three of our own dogs and if I were home more to give Serena the time and attention she truly needed, she probably never would have been put up for adoption. But sometimes loving a dog means recognizing that the best thing you can do for them is find the home where they can truly thrive.

My kids completely fell in love with her. Karson, my 6-year-old, took such a special interest in Serena. He fed her, took her potty, and really took on the responsibility of helping care for her. Watching their bond grow was something I’ll never forget. 🥹

Being a foster is SO rewarding, but it is also incredibly hard. You love them, you help them learn what it means to be safe and loved, and then eventually you have to say goodbye.

Today, Serena went home with a wonderful couple, and seeing her reaction made my heart so happy. She wagged her tail when they came back for her. And then, as if she wanted to prove that she had been practicing for her new family, she sat for them on command. 😂

I have been trying since DAY ONE to get this girl to sit, and apparently she was just waiting for the right people! ❤️

I am SO excited for Serena and her new chapter. She deserves the absolute best, and I truly believe she found it.

She will be missed tremendously in our home. 💔 But I also know she is going to get so much more one-on-one love and attention now instead of having to compete with three other dogs for it.

Fostering is hard. Saying goodbye is hard. But knowing you helped a dog get to their forever home makes every hard moment worth it.

Go live your best life, Serena. You will always have a little piece of our hearts. 🐾❤️

Toph the new senior pup is coming out of her shell too! She is exploring the yard and what a nose and ears on her! She can't see but abit of shadows due to her eyes not being taken care of previously. Toph is about 8 yrs old and a very sweet girl. She is heading to the vet on Wednesday for her eye exam. She loves hanging out in the yard with you, and no longer snapping at dogs that walk by her.

"She is off the charts - kind, calm, SMART, sweet..... she has tested Wilson (13 Year Old GSD in photo) who gently tells her NO... end of discussion... she does not push anything with our 15+ year old lab... the cats - LOVE her! She does like to help me by gathering eggs, and eating them🤭 but she is learning that I will give her one boiled egg for lunch if she does not nest pick... if you offered us a million dollars for her we would say not no - but hell no... she is ours... she is home... I could write a novel about her already... what a love... our hearts are so full and warm.... thank you for choosing us."

Serena is coming out of her shell more and more each day, and it’s been so amazing to watch. ❤️

She has been with Brittany for a little over a month and a half now, and we are starting to see more and more of her personality come through.

Today, Brittany accidentally bumped one of her son’s very lonely socks across the floor, and Serena immediately ran over, picked it up in her mouth, and proceeded to fling that sock into the air before getting ready to pounce on it. 😂

She’s also starting to chase toys, although she hasn’t quite figured out that she’s supposed to pick them up yet.

Little by little, she’s learning how to play, how to have fun, and most importantly… how to just be a dog.

Watching her discover these little things for the first time is absolutely priceless. She may be learning slowly, but she’s getting there. 🐾
