HAWKS BATTLE HARD, FALL SHORT IN GOLD BRACKET CHAMPIONSHIP 🏒🥈

Nassau County Lions 4 – Hamburg Hawks 1

📅 October 11, 2026 | Gold Bracket Championship

The Hamburg Hawks’ championship run came to a tough end Sunday afternoon, falling 4–1 to the Nassau County Lions in the Gold Bracket Championship.

After battling their way through a competitive 13 team tournament pool and earning a spot in the championship game, the Hawks faced a familiar opponent in a rematch with Nassau County. Unfortunately, the boys couldn’t quite get the offense going against a tough Lions team.

Despite falling behind, the Hawks continued to battle and refused to back down. #10 Mason Clever provided Hamburg’s lone tally in the third period, getting the Hawks on the board.

While this wasn’t the ending we had hoped for, the Hawks have plenty to be proud of. The boys battled their way into the Gold Bracket Championship through a complete team effort, with contributions up and down the lineup.

Championship games aren’t easy to reach, and although losing one is tough, these experiences are what help a team grow. The boys showed plenty of heart and determination throughout the weekend and have a lot to build on moving forward.

Keep your heads up, Hawks! Silver medals today, but a whole lot of experience gained for tomorrow!
