Well folks, Tue., Wed., & Thursday we harvested the last 37, long & short rows of potatoes, at The Historic Dreibelbis Farm. 10Bins - 8 being 6,492pounds for potatoes and 2 Bins 1,760pounds on the Butternut Squash for the Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank out-going. Me, Ziggys, Jake, and me bride LindaZ did the works for the days. Year 18 of harvesting fresh food for local neighbors in need, is done and 'in the books'.

Last Monday, Ziggy Disced Becker's whilst I went for Rye Seed Cover Crop, then Ziggy spread it on the harvested Becker's St. Peter's potato field. Jake and I moved what equipment we needed to Dries for Tuesday on to finish potato harvest.

Hard at it, at The Historic Dreibelbis Farm, potato harvesting - 37 rows were left yet. After Tuesday and Wednesday morning, 3 rows now left to harvest. Tuesday: Me, Ziggy, and Jake. Wednesday morning: Me Ziggy1 & Ziggy2, and Jake. Got a half a bin of Butternut Squash as well.

Some Fleetwood Rotarians came Sunday to Potato Harvest at Beckers Saint Peters Church. I hooked up the harvester rig to the Kubota and we finished the field, along with bagging a some bins! 17898 pounds for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Groups harvested.

John Knabb and I, dug 2Acres worth of land potatoes today this afternoon, for Friday 12PM harvest session with Holleran Center at Alvernia University grasshoppers, here at Becker's St. Peter's LC, Alvernia in their St. Francis Day of Service.

I was not at all impressed with the standing production. I think it's very low. I wasn't impressed with the production at THDF field either, but it looks like that field beat Becker's. Maybe it was the seed stock. We'll not get near what we could have for Helping Harvest overall.

The dig today was also tough going, for both of us today. WaltZ on the Massey Ferguson 275 pulling the old 2Row Oliver potato digger, and Jake on the Kubota L3901HST trailing the Weaver's Ace Hardware Fleetwood Sponsored D-10T Potato Harvester.

All the needed equipment was moved from THDF to Becker's St. Peter's LC Potato Field Monday. Reconfiguration and setups done Tuesday, toward works for this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday harvest sessions. More bins are on the way Wednesday dropoff by HHFB as anticipated.
