The Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to welcome our newest member: Substance Free Coalition of West Seneca & Orchard Park!

The SFC's vital mission is to foster drug-free communities through outreach, education, and youth engagement while empowering young people to become the next generation of resilient leaders.

One of SFC's members & Kids Escaping Drugs Program Specialist Carlee will be at the West Seneca Farmers' Market with Substance Use Jeopardy on June 11th! 🙋‍♂️

The SFC was a proud sponsor West Seneca West Senior High School of Mental Health Awareness Week! Every student got to try yoga in gym class and talk about ways to cope with stress. As the end of the school year approcahes we remind students to practice self care.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Substance use and mental health are closely linked. The better your mental health is, the more resilient you will be. When you are resilient, you have the ability to work through problems and will be less likely to turn to substances.

While Fentanyl is scary, there are things you can do to help:

-Talk to youth in your life about Fentanyl and the importance of only taking medicine prescribed by your doctor
- Share these overdose warning signs with them
-Share the NYS Good Samaritan Law - allows people to call 911 without fear of arrest for illicit drug or underage alcohol use
