This past week, Band Together had the honor of being invited to the American Cancer Society AstraZeneca Hope Lodge Philadelphia. 💙💛
Hope Lodge provides a free home away from home for people facing cancer and their caregivers when they need to travel for treatment. It is more than just a place to stay — it is a place where patients and caregivers can find community, support, comfort, and hope during an incredibly difficult time.
During our visit, I had the opportunity to connect directly with patients and caregivers staying at Hope Lodge and share 60+ handmade Band Together bracelets and encouraging messages with them.
But what I will remember most are the conversations. We heard stories filled with sadness, hope, gratitude, strength, and perseverance. Every person we met reminded me that behind every cancer journey is a real person, a real family, and a story worth hearing.
Being able to give someone a bracelet may seem like a small gesture, but being there, listening, and sharing a moment of connection made the experience mean so much more.
I am incredibly grateful to the American Cancer Society and the Hope Lodge Philadelphia team for welcoming Band Together and giving us the opportunity to spread a little encouragement, one bracelet at a time. 💙💛
Thank you for showing me that sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness can create the biggest moments of connection.
