Last week our Vincentians were blessed to visit with and learn more about one one of our community partners who provide substantial donations to help us feed our neighbors. Thank you, Feeding Tampa Bay!

A donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul can help provide:

🍽️ Groceries for a family
🏠 Help with rent or utilities

Every day, Vincentians meet neighbors where they are and respond to their most urgent needs with dignity and care. Support our work: https://ssvpusa.org/donate/.

We are so grateful for the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), and Duo along with Friends of Solivita, as well as our community members.

On April 30, we were able to collect 42 boxes of food from the Duo & Friends of Solivita food drive.

Yesterday, , we were able to collect 72 boxes of food from the NALC food drive. We also had 3 Friends of Solivita come to assist us with loading and sorting food.

Every donation helps us to feed our neighbors in need. Because of the generosity of our friends and neighbors in the community we are able to serve more families. Thank you!

Today, we celebrate the Feast Day of St. Louise de Marillac.

St. Louise helped shape St. Vincent de Paul's legacy of service rooted in compassion, dignity and action. Through her work with the Daughters of Charity, she supported those who were poor, sick and marginalized, helping build systems of care that continue to serve communities today.

💙 Her example continues to inspire our mission.

On Saturday May 9, 2026, the US Post Office in Haines City will be collecting food that will benefit the St. Ann Food Pantry through its 33rd annual ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ food drive. This is the largest one-day food drive in the country, where postal carriers collect non-perishable food donations to support local food pantries.

This food drive is held every year, the Saturday before Mother’s Day.

How to participate:

What: Fill a sturdy bag with non-perishable food items (canned goods, rice, pasta, peanut butter, etc.).
Where: Place the bag near your mailbox before your normal mail delivery time.
Who: Your local letter carrier will pick up the donations during their route.
No special bag is required; any bag works, though they often deliver special bags in advance.

If you do not have a traditional mailbox, you can bring donations to your local Haines City post office located at 1051 State Road 544 E, Haines City, FL 33844.

On April 24, 1581, St. Vincent de Paul was born.

His belief that every person deserves dignity and compassion transformed how the world responds to poverty and continues to guide our work today.

More than four centuries later, Vincentians carry forward that mission, serving neighbors in need through acts of charity, justice, and love.

💙 Inspired by his example, we continue to serve.
