Jog-A-Thon recap 👏 Congratulations to all Alturas students and staff who worked so hard running around the track, and gathering donations!
It was wonderful to see the student’s determination, energy, and school spirit throughout the event. We are so proud of every Eagle who participated and gave their best effort.
🎉 A few highlights from this year’s Jog-a-Thon:
* Total money raised: $18,439.25
* Grade that raised the most money: 3rd Grade
* Class that raised the most money: Leon/Burgess
* Class with the most students raising money: Neely/Maldonado
* Most laps run by teachers: Profe Brian and Ms. Michalec
Way to go, Eagles! Your hard work, stamina, and determination were inspiring to watch.
Each year, the PTO generously donates a bike from Trailhead Cycles in Hailey to be raffled off during the Jog-a-Thon. Any student who runs or walks at least one lap during the event is entered into the raffle. This year’s lucky bike winner was first grader, Willa Keefer. Congratulations, Willa!
Thanks to the generosity of our Alturas families, community, and our sponsor, US Bank, the money raised will help the PTO continue supporting our amazing teachers next year and enhancing our wonderful school for our students.
💛 20% of all the money raised will be added directly to the teachers fund to be used at their discretion throughout the year for supplies and needs for their classrooms.
