The Evening Membership Department of The Haddon Fortnightly recently contacted the fine women at E & 3 Apothecary to help with our fundraising efforts to help maintain our historic clubhouse. E & 3 Apothecary designed a clean and powerful lemon-forward scent blend, as lemon symbolizes the human heart, love, and light and scientific research has revealed clean scents like lemon can encourage generosity and charitable behaviors. The candle is contained in a square metal tin reminiscent of The Haddon Fortnightly building and engraved the lid with a custom design.

If you would like to support The Haddon Fortnightly by purchasing a candle for $20.00, please contact Kim at [email protected]. All proceeds benefit the newly established Building Fund.

A GREAT TIME TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has become known as “Giving Tuesday”. With the end of the year approaching, it’s a great reminder to make your tax -deductible donations to your favorite organizations.

We hope that this year you will consider making a donation to support The Haddon Fortnightly, as we celebrate the 130th anniversary of our founding, making us one of Haddonfield’s oldest service organizations.

Since its founding in 1894, The Fortnightly has become a pillar of the community. Our members work to support local, state, national and international charities. From scholarships and other partnerships benefitting Haddonfield High School students, and our beloved Spelling Bee, to our annual Snowflake Run to benefit teen su***de prevention, we support youth in our community and beyond. But we also support many other organizations serving children and adults locally and globally.

Our beautiful, iconic building is cherished by the community. It serves as the site of author lectures, debates and dancing for the Haddonfield Skirmish, and other club and town events.

But maintaining a lovely, historic building like our Clubhouse is costly. Our members work hard it to keep it beautiful and available for the community to enjoy, but we need your help.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to The Haddon Fortnightly on Giving Tuesday this year, and support us in that effort.

You can go to our website https://thehaddonfortnightly.org/ and hit “Donate” to make a contribution in the amount of your choice.

Or mail a check to: The Haddon Fortnightly, PO Box 321, Haddonfield, NJ 08033.

Thank you for supporting the work of the women of The Haddon Fortnightly.
