🍎 We are honored to be attending the Oklahoma School Innovation Summit hosted by the Oklahoma Public School Resource Center (OPSRC).
Pictured are Julia Reed, Executive Director of Green Shoe Foundation, and Karie Carpenter, PhD, Senior Grant Success Manager at OPSRC.
As a parent, Julia shared, “I am in awe of the work teachers do every day. When you are helping children navigate big emotions while also managing your own, the weight can be tremendous. Over time, that stress can lead to burnout.”
One of the opening messages from the summit encouraged educators to choose their focus, choose their people, and know their purpose. We believe that reminder is more important than ever.
At Green Shoe Foundation, we believe that caring for those who care for others is essential. Educators invest so much of themselves in their students, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of conversations focused on supporting the well-being of those who serve our schools and communities.
Thank you to OPSRC for bringing together leaders who are committed to strengthening education across Oklahoma, and thank you to the educators who continue to show up for students every day. đź’š
