Well, today she is approaching two years of sobriety. Her relationship with God is growing. Her relationships with her parents and children have been restored. She has peace where anxiety once lived. She has hope for the future instead of fear of tomorrow. She's working toward restoring her nursing license. Most importantly, she's no longer just surviving. She's living with purpose. When you feel condemned, mornings can feel like God is starting another round of evaluation: “How did you do yesterday? Are you fixed yet?” But the gospel says something different. If you’re in Christ, God is not issuing punishment—there is no condemnation.
Prayer
Jesus, I feel condemned, but I choose Your truth over my feelings. Teach my soul to rest in Your finished work.
