Nighthawk Ranch Camp in Guffey, Colorado is a safe, healing environment for kids 10-18 recovering from cancer with the goal of increasing self-esteem and hope for the future. kids participate in activities that come with a real working ranch, including feeding cows and horses first thing in the morning. Horses will be on the premises everyday of the one-week long session and each kid will have the

ir own horse to take care of and this will be the horse they learn to ride. Nighthawk Ranch is for kids who love animals and nature - and kids who are up for the adventure of their lives. And all that is needed to attend is the desire to have fun.

Nighthawk Ranch offers a free week of healing, adventure, and friendship. 🙌🏼

For out-of-state campers, we partner with Angel Flight Central, who offers help and hope serving people in need by arranging free, charitable flights for participants ~ “giving hope wings”.

Horseback Riding is both the biggest attraction and the main event at Nighthawk Ranch Camps. 🐴

Each camper grooms, dresses, and rides their very own horse all week long! 🤠

Daily rides adventuring out exploring the acreage while building confidence and trust is a camp favorite. 🫶🏼

Animals, horses especially, have been know to heal through a type of therapy that you cannot find anywhere else.

Nighthawk Ranch is a camp whose mission is to provide a safe, healing environment for 10-18 year olds recovering from cancer with the goal of increasing self-esteem and hope for the future.

“I think it’s the only camp around that helps the kids heal through caring for animals. My daughter has always needed to be cared for, so coming to Nighthawk was a big change and in a good way.” ~ Camper Parent.

Nighthawk is an opportunity for campers to adventure in nature, care for animals, and accomplish things they’ve only dreamed possible.

At Nighthawk, kids get to be the caregiver of all different animals on the ranch ~ big and small. 🐴🐐🐮

This is a big change from their daily life of cancer care. It offers the kids an opportunity to learn new skills beyond what they’ve imagined, and provides a sense of purpose with the animals depending on them. 🫶🏼

The love these animals show the kids and the bonds that are made with each other while caring for even the smallest of the animals, is a true blessing.
