Get ready for an action-packed high adventure with our Troop! Every two years, we take on a new challenge, and this time we're off to Seabase in the Florida Keys with two crews diving into scuba and snorkeling experiences. Living by the Scout motto, Be Prepared, we've been training hard with individual swim laps and just had our first group prep session with a hike and leisure time afterward. The anticipation is building for our upcoming adventure!

Water or hiking not your thing? Don't worry, there are plenty of other activities to help Scouts develop leadership skills, and make lifelong friends.

It was a privilege for our Troop to stand alongside numerous community members as the procession for Sgt. Declan Coady, an Eagle Scout, passed through our town yesterday. Thank you to our Charter Organization, the Grimes Lions Club, for providing flags to salute him and his family and friends. Sgt. Learning about being part of a community is an important element of Scouting, from serving others to understanding how local government works. Last night, several of our Scouts — along with one Scout from Cub Scouts Pack 171 - Grimes, Iowa (not pictured) — attended the City of Grimes, Iowa council meeting as part of their Citizenship in the Community merit badge. We appreciate the opportunity for our Scouts to observe the meeting and learn more about how local government operates.

We got the honor of presenting the colors with Cub Scouts Pack 171 - Grimes, Iowa tonight at the the Iowa Wild game versus the Toronto Marlies.

A good time was had by all playing games while waiting and of course going out on the ice and representing Grimes. Thank you for the opportunity to represent our community and Scouting 🏒 Iowa Wild.

We would like to thank Fareway Stores Grimes for their ongoing support over the years, allowing our Scouting families to utilize their space for sorting and storing cans and our trailer to raise funds for their activities.

We also appreciate the community members of Grimes who continue to donate their cans to us. Your contributions not only support their adventures but also instill the value and reward of hard work as they sort and haul the trailer to Nikki’s Nickel Redemption - Stuart or Nikki's Nickel Redemption - Jefferson, IA (amazing people to work with).

If you happen to see us at the trailer, please feel free to stop by and greet us. Additionally, you can drop off your cans at any time throughout the week if you are unsure of what to do with them. The cages are located on the west side of the building.

This is very overdue! Thank you to the Grimes Farmers Market for letting us join them on their last day of the season and helping some members of our Troop raise funds for their adventures at Seabase next summer! They had a great time and the amount of support you show this community is amazing! 🤩🎉🌟
