This year, the Dallas Center-Grimes Education Foundation awarded $265,550 in scholarships to 159 students pursuing college, community college, and trade school pathways.

We’re incredibly proud of these seniors and grateful to the sponsors, donors, businesses, families and community members who continue to invest in their futures.

And we don’t want to leave out our DCG alumni recipients. Congratulations as you continue your educational journeys with the support of DCGEF scholarships.

A reminder to DCG seniors and parents — if you applied for a scholarship, Senior Awards Night will be held on Wednesday, May 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the DCG Auditorium.

We’re excited to celebrate our seniors and all they have accomplished. We hope to see you there!

🍦🐛 Introducing the Gummy Garden Snowstorm at Al’s Dairy Freeze!

This fun and nostalgic flavor was created by Kadence Barnes and her family after winning the opportunity at last year’s RED Dinner & Auction silent auction — and now the whole community gets to enjoy it for the month of May. 💚

A huge thank you to Al’s Dairy Freeze for not only donating this special auction experience, but also giving back to DCGEF through every Gummy Garden sold this month.

We love seeing our community come together in creative ways to support scholarships for DCG students. And a special shoutout to Kadence for dreaming up such a fun treat! 🍦✨

Meet our May speciality snowstorm: Gummy Garden 🐛🍦 — a playful twist on the classic dirt & worms treat that’s as fun as it is delicious.

This snowstorm blends crunchy Oreos, gooey gummy worms, and rich hot fudge into your choice of ice cream. It’s messy, chocolatey, and packed with nostalgic flavor in every bite. This treat is extra special — and even better, it can be made gluten free so more people can enjoy it. 👏🏻

Created and named by Kadence Barnes and her parents. They were the winners at the RED Dinner silent auction last fall. The cherry (or worm) on top? A portion of every Gummy Garden sold helps support the DCG RED Foundation for student scholarships, so you can treat yourself while giving back!
