Hello! My name is Misty. I am considering doing a fundraiser for myself for an upcoming surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona and am trying to gauge interest to see if it would be worth while.
Here is a little back story:
In 1998 I went in for a very routine surgery to have my gallbladder removed. Unfortunately for me it went horribly wrong, the doctor cut the wrong duct and my liver drained into my body for 18 days before they repaired it. I lost all of my teeth because of this. In 2015 the "repair" failed and I had to have a liver transplant. It resulted in my abdominal wall being destroyed. I have had 32 total abdominal surgeries bisecting my abdominal wall to keep me alive and attempt to repair the subsequent hernias that have erupted due to the damaged abdominal wall. On Jan 2, 2025 a hernia caused my colon to rupture. Thank GOD I survived, but due to the total wreck my abdominal wall is, the Mayo Clinic was the best qualified surgery center to give me a chance of getting my life back. I'm happy to report in December of 2025 they reconnected my bowels and removed my ostomy bag!!
I have one more surgery at the Mayo Clinic at the end of June to repair 2 large hernias and reconstruct my 6 pack muscle that is completely torn in half.
So to raise funds for the trip, (gas money, the hotel for my son and myself, food and incidentals that may arise)
We are considering selling AUTHENTIC Indian Tacos, the recipe for the fry bread handed down through generations 😋. Built with home raised hamburger, beans, cheese, lettuce, onion, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, jalapeños on request. We make them to your liking!! Choose some or all of the available condiments.
We will also have available REZ DAWGS- hot dogs wrapped in frybread and deep fried!
Tacos will be 15.00

These would have to be picked up at my house 1.5 miles from Yoder

MlI am trying to gauge interest and see if we could make this worth the work. We have previously professionally operated a food truck selling Indian Tacos in Wyoming for 7 years. Anyone interested in helping me raise funds? You get a super yummy dinner and you don't have to cook or clean up!!
