🦋 Create Giant Butterfly Wings & Let Imagination Take Flight! 🦋

June is all about butterflies in Wonder Workshop! What are you learning, discovering, or creating today?
Looking for a fun, creative activity that keeps children engaged while inspiring curiosity about nature? Try making your own oversized butterfly wings!

Gather odds and ends from around the house: cardboard, poster board, glue, scissors, tape, beads, ribbon, pom poms, stickers, glitter, or any craft supplies you can find, and transform them into a beautiful pair of butterfly wings. Hang them around the house as colorful decorations or add straps and use them for imaginative pretend play.

This activity was tested with children, and engagement lasted more than 45 minutes, with excitement and creativity continuing to grow as they added their own unique touches to their designs. Many children asked to make a second set of butterfly wings after completing their first!

Creating butterfly wings isn't just about crafting. Children are exploring symmetry, observing butterfly patterns, expressing creativity, and bringing their imaginations to life. Best of all, this activity isn't just for kids; grown-ups can join in the fun, too!

What an incredible night at Stonebridge’s Italian Night! 🍕

Our Playful Pelican pop-up was a huge success, and our hearts are so full after spending the evening with so many wonderful families. We loved meeting new friends and reconnecting with familiar faces from our community!

Play is the foundation of strong learning for children, and it was amazing to watch some of our young guests fully engaged in play for nearly TWO hours straight. Through joyful experiences, children were building confidence, practicing important life skills, learning to communicate, problem solve, and collaborate, all while having fun.

Our Italian dramatic play area was buzzing with excitement as children served up pizza from the wood-burning oven, prepared spaghetti and meatballs, scooped gelato, and welcomed customers into their pretend restaurant. The laughter and creativity were nonstop! 🍝🍦

The entire evening was filled with joy, imagination, learning, and community connection, exactly the kind of experiences we hope to bring to families across the Westbank. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night so special! ❤️

It was such a fun morning celebrating moms, grandmothers, aunts, and special caretakers at Chick-fil-A in Algiers! There was a whole restaurant full of joy and smiles!

We had very busy artists creating masterpieces for some very special people!
