Purim, celebrated earlier this week at Chabad, was a joyous and meaningful experience for everyone who participated.
A great crowd joined us on both Purim eve and Purim day to hear the Megillah, share a L'chaim and celebrate with fellow community members.
Several participants shared that this was their first Purim celebration, which made the occasion even more significant.
To ensure no Jew was left behind we held a special Megilah reading at 5:30 AM (!) enabling a lady working in The Dalles to also have the opportunity to perform the Purim mitzvahs before her work shift.
The message of Purim is ever pertinent: Make an effort to pay attention to the Hand of Hashem which guides our lives every day. Keeping this in mind empowers us to live life to its fullest with joy, clarity and purpose.
A sincere thank you to our donors who enable joyous Judaism to be experienced in Gresham.
We look forward to seeing you soon at the upcoming Pesach (Passover) celebrations.
May we continue the joy of Purim throughout the entire year,
The Shtetl family - Rabbi Dyce, Cheina and the kiddos.
