Continuing to observe National Garden Week this week, Grenada Garden Club‘s Youth Gardeners Committee shared a story and craft with children at the Elizabeth Jones Library. Kathryn Shirley read “The Great Paper Caper” to participants. GGC members then assisted the children in creating a craft - another ‘Mahvelous’ activity!

Another National Garden Week activity was held at Elizabeth Jones Library. The GGC Garden Therapy Committee members entertained area seniors with a craft activity, led by Tammie Cavanaugh and Sandra McCaulla. Participants painted ceramic ‘frogs’ and made small arrangements in glass containers. Door prizes were given and the participants had a ‘mahvelous’ time!

Grenada Garden Club continued its celebration of National Garden Week by helping to conduct a day camp at the Lee Tartt Nature Preserve (Chakchiuma Swamp). Campers were introduced to different critters that inhabit the swamp. They waded, kayaked, paddled and generally enjoyed the beautiful swamp. Some GGC members worked there and other members provided snacks for the children.

Grenada Garden Club recently celebrated National Garden Week with several different activities. New GGC members met for a design program led by Pattie Smith. With instructions from Pattie, they designed red, white, and blue arrangements and presented them to different businesses and offices in Grenada that have supported the garden club over the years.

The Grenada Garden Club recently observed National Garden Week with a variety of activities. New members of the GGC participated in a design program under the guidance of Pattie Smith. Led by Pattie's instruction, they created patriotic red, white, and blue arrangements, which were presented to local businesses and offices that have supported the garden club over the years.
