Sonny's Senior Sanctuary We are a forever home for senior animals in need of a safe place to spend their golden years.

Sonny's Mission:
Our mission is to provide a safe haven for senior animals or those with medical needs who find themselves without a home. We will welcome them as a member of the family so that they feel all of the love and comfort of their new forever home. Sonny's Senior Sanctuary shall:
- Offer a loving, nurturing home for senior animals to live out their days
- Work with each individual anima

l to understand their specific needs
- Provide health care necessary to treat chronic illness or to promote comfort at the end of life
- Provide general health maintenance for the all of the animals in our care
- Offer exercise or enrichment based on each animal's needs
- Advocate on the behalf of all senior animals in any way we can

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Gramps!!!!

This sweetheart has the classic hound dog eyes that just melt your heart. Its like he sees into your soul. He has the best floppy hound ears. He has a silly wide stance so when he jogs towards you its like a Komodo dragon...in a cute, sweet way!

He loves Hazel, Cola, Niles and Ro Ro. He serves as a special alarm clock every morning. But its a great reminder of how lucky we are to have him here. We love you handsome boy!!!

Please say hello to Kiki!!!

We were not planning this. We have said we could not take more cats until our cat house was built. But our hearts just told us we could not wait.

Kiki was loved! She was cared for by a very dedicated woman for 10 years who put her love for Kiki before her own health until she had no choice and was hospitalized. Kiki was in the apartment alone with a family member feeding and caring for her. Now her human is moving to a nursing home. This is devastating for both of them. Hopefully their family can focus on her health now knowing Kiki is here.

Kiki is scared. I am sure she is grieving. We promised her she is safe and will be given the space and time she needs. She will be loved. We hope she will be happy here and we can spoil her for the second chapter of her life.

She fell asleep to piano music last night so we already found something she likes ❤️

This is her stance right before she is about to unleash her wrath!! She takes her battle position, you hear the grumble, the pom pom tail starts moving furiously and then......she begins....barking and barking and barking until she gets what she wants. And what she wants is to be held and cuddled and snuggled and maybe a snack.
