🚨 SOMEONE PLEASE ADOPT THIS BOY. 🚨

Meet Lightning McQueen — the one-eared antenna potato that absolutely nobody should still be overlooking. 🥺😭

This little dude spent over 100 days in the shelter and has now been in rescue for approximately ONE YEAR. A whole year waiting for someone to finally choose him.

And I truly do not understand it because he is SUCH a good boy with so much love to give.

Yes, Lightning has one downfall — he needs to be the only animal in the home. But otherwise? This little potato is basically perfect.

🐾 Great in the car
🐾 Great in a kennel
🐾 Potty trained
🐾 Loves going for walks
🐾 OBSESSED with toys
🐾 Will happily accept treats of literally any kind 😂
🐾 Takes treats ever so gently like the polite little gentleman he is
🐾 And obviously has the cutest little antenna ear on the planet 📡😂

Lightning is READY.

Ready to stop living the crate-and-rotate life.
Ready to finally exhale.
Ready for a couch.
Ready for bedtime routines and snack taxes.
Ready for adventures.
Ready to be somebody’s baby instead of somebody’s foster dog.

He has waited long enough. ❤️

There HAS to be someone out there who doesn’t have other animals and is looking for a loyal, goofy, adorable best friend.

Nothing like the new foster dog who came in completely shut down finally licking your hand… and then picking up a toy. 🥹❤️

To some people, that probably doesn’t seem like much.

But in rescue, you know exactly what it means.

It means, “Maybe I’m safe here.”
It means, “Maybe I can trust you.”
It means a little piece of them is starting to come back.

These are the moments that make it all worth it. 🐾❤️
