We also hold space for those who are grieving, remembering, or honoring the fathers they carry in their hearts.

Be sure to stop by our table to receive important voter education information and learn how you can be prepared for upcoming elections next week and in November. Exercising your right to vote is one of the most powerful ways to make your voice heard and create positive change in our communities.

On June 19th, the Greenwood Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was honored to attend the Greenwood D9 Prayer Breakfast in celebration of Juneteenth. As we reflected on the significance of freedom, faith, and unity, we were inspired by the power of community and the continued journey toward justice and equality for all.

We are grateful for the opportunity to fellowship with fellow Divine Nine organizations and community members as we commemorated this important day in history. Soror Dr. Jumelle Brooks delivered an awesome word of encouragement to us all, and we thank our Vice President, Soror Thessa Smith, for representing our chapter.

Happy from Greenwood Alumnae Chapter of DST!

Happy !

Today we honor the legacy of the last enslaved African Americans in Texas who were finally informed of their freedom, some two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. It was those people, and the generations of Texans who came after them, who made the bold declaration to celebrate this day, marking a reality we know far too well in this country: freedom may be delayed, but it will never be denied.

Though our fight for freedom sadly continues, today we pause to celebrate and embrace the joy of our ancestors who believed in the possibilities of a more promising tomorrow. And in that joy, we remain anchored, steadfast in our pursuit of true freedom and justice for all.

The Greenwood Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was honored to celebrate our cherished Delta Dears with an afternoon of fellowship, inspiration, and appreciation. Our special guest speaker, Rev. Krystal Bryant, Chaplain of the Greenville Alumnae Chapter, delivered an empowering message reminding our Delta Dears that age does not diminish purpose. She encouraged them not to sit down because they are still needed, valued, and have much more to contribute. Their wisdom, service, and legacy continue to inspire generations of Sorors.
Thank you to our Delta Dears for your unwavering commitment, leadership, and dedication. Your impact continues to shine brightly, proving that age truly is nothing but a number!
