What’s up friends and family I got a kid in need of clothes and clothes and shoes for back to school. He’s one of my mentees and currently in a group home waiting to be adopted. He’s a great kid in an unfortunate situation. Let’s chip in and send him back to school in style any thing is better than nothing.

Letter to the Youth,

You are so much more than just an athlete. You’re more than a highlight reel, more than a jersey number, more than someone dribbling, throwing, or catching a ball.

Don’t ever let anyone limit you to just what they see on the field or court. Your dreams—whatever they are—matter. Whether it’s in sports, business, art, science, or something the world hasn’t seen yet, you have the power to make it real.

Keep chasing what sets your soul on fire. Keep pushing. Keep growing. You can do anything you put your mind to. The journey won’t always be easy, but the strength you already have is proof that you’re built for it.

Keep going. Don’t give up.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Michael “Big Mikey” Williams, known in the community as BIG UNK, was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. Life growing up wasn’t easy, and the choices he made led him down a dark path—one that cost him 11 and a half years behind bars.

A father of 5, Michael knows firsthand the consequences of chasing the street life.

But today, he stands as a changed man—a determined man.

Through pain, reflection, and growth, Michael transformed his past into a purpose. He founded the Big Unk Program to give youth the guidance he once lacked. His mission is to be the reliable presence these kids need—someone who’s lived it, learned from it, and came out stronger.

Michael doesn’t claim to be perfect, but every day he strives to be better—for his family, his community, and for the young lives he hopes to impact.

We’re excited to invite you and your child to our Meet & Greet happening tomorrow, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at 91 Halton Road, Greenville, SC 29607.

This will be a great opportunity for you to learn more about the program, meet our mentors, and connect with other families. We’re looking forward to getting to know all of our amazing mentees and building strong, positive relationships from the start.
