If you haven't registered for the 5th Annual Speaking Your Truth to Live Minority Mental Health & Substance Use Expo, please don't miss out.

This event is for the underserved, the overlooked, and the forgotten. It's about bringing our community together to have real conversations about mental health, substance use, recovery, trauma, and healing.

Join us on September 12th from 10 AM–2 PM at Dream Park in Greenville, NC.

We'll have community resources, speakers, vendors, free food, a DJ, children's activities, giveaways, and more.

Everybody ain't meant to be a Peer Support Specialist working in the behavioral health system. Period.

Just because you've experienced something doesn't automatically mean this work is for you.

This work requires boundaries, ethics, compassion, professionalism, self-awareness, accountability, and a genuine desire to serve others.

Peer support is more than sharing your story. It's about walking alongside people without judgment while helping them find hope, healing, and recovery.

Everybody ain't built for this work, and that's okay.

This event is for the unforgotten, underserved, and overlooked. ❤️

📣 Applications are being reviewed for Cohort 2 of the NC-H.O.P.E. Certified Peer Support Specialist Registered Apprenticeship!

Are you a Wake County resident who became a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) within the past 12 months?

If so, we'd love to receive your application!

The NC-H.O.P.E. Apprenticeship is a 12-week, 180-hour paid apprenticeship that combines classroom learning, mentorship, supervised field placements, and shadowing opportunities to help newly certified CPSSs gain hands-on experience.

Peer Academy is a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist Program (NCCPSS) Approved Course that provides 50 hours of training credit toward certification. Participants will learn foundational peer support values, communication skills, cultural humility, trauma awareness, wellness practices, and more through interactive discussions, experiential activities, and guided reflection.
