Greenville Post 3 Warbirds Greenville's American Legion Post 3 19U baseball team. The Warbirds play home games at Furman's Latham Field June-July.

The Warbirds will square off against rival Upstate Posts including Anderson, Easley, Golden Strip, Greenwood and Greer.

The Post added a Frank Ward MVP Award to honor the late member who was involved with Post 3 baseball for 30+ years.

Previous Post Commander Kirk Conover and Coach Brian Remsberg recognized the following players…

2026 Co-MVPs - John Eberstein and Jackson Campbell

Also recognized at the dinner were Christian Timko for his walk-off Grand Slam vs Greenwood and Andrew Brandt who lead the state in hitting with an amazing .564 batting average.

Warbirds go down swinging, hammering out a 16-11 win vs Greenwood to finish the league season 5-7. The Warbirds miss out on the playoffs in tie-breaker with Chapin-Newberry who beat the Birds 2 games to 1 earlier this season.

It came down to the wire on Tuesday at Furman, as Greenville Post 3 Warbirds grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 12-8, over Greenwood Post 20 SRs. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the eighth when Christian Timko hit a grand slam to left field.

Timko drove in six runners in the win. The leadoff hitter went 2-4 on the day.

Greenville Post 3 Warbirds were the first to get on the board in the first when Caleb Cox singled, scoring one run.

William Nunley singled to right field on an 0-2 count, which helped Greenwood Post 20 SRs tie the game at one in the top of the second.

A hit by a pitch gave Greenville Post 3 Warbirds the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second.

Brayden Yarbrough singled down the left field line, which helped Greenwood Post 20 SRs tie the game at two in the top of the third.

Greenville Post 3 Warbirds flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 7-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Timko that drove in two.

Greenwood Post 20 SRs tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a single by Bryson Burnett, and a double by Austin Wertz.

Greenwood Post 20 SRs took the lead in the top of the eighth. Tait Jackson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, to give Greenwood Post 20 SRs the lead, 8-7.

Greenville Post 3 Warbirds flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the eighth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 12-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to left field by Timko that drove in four.

Drew Troyer earned the win for Greenville Post 3 Warbirds. The pitcher surrendered three hits and one run over three innings, striking out one and walking two. Yarbrough took the loss for Greenwood Post 20 SRs. The reliever went one-third of an inning, surrendering three runs on one hit, striking out none and walking two. John Carlisle started the game for Greenville Post 3 Warbirds. The starter allowed nine hits and seven runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking one. Parker Sutley started on the bump for Greenwood Post 20 SRs. The pitcher gave up 10 hits and seven runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking one.

Greenville Post 3 Warbirds accumulated 15 hits in the game. Andrew Brandt went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Greenville Post 3 Warbirds in hits. Frank Remsberg, Jackson Campbell, and Luke Sustakovitch each collected multiple hits for Greenville Post 3 Warbirds.

Greenwood Post 20 SRs accumulated 12 hits in the game. Logan Martin and Nunley each collected three hits for Greenwood Post 20 SRs. Yarbrough, Eli Swancey, Martin, Jackson, Nunley, Burnett, and Wertz each drove in one run for Greenwood Post 20 SRs. Greenwood Post 20 SRs turned one double play in the game.

Greenville Post 3 Warbirds will travel to Greenwood Post 20 for their next game on Thursday.

Warbirds lose heartbreaker 6-5 in 8 innings to Greenwood Post 20. Starter Finn Robinson went 5.1 innings and did not allow an earned run. Andrew Brandt continued his hot hitting at the plate collecting a single, double and triple. John Eberstein and Frank Remsberg added two hits each. Birds back at it on Tuesday at Furman in what is likely the final home game of the season.

Warbirds drop series finale to Anderson Post 14 3-1. Frank Remsberg threw a complete game scattering six hits and striking out four. Warbirds will face Greenwood Post 20 next week in their final league series.

Warbirds beat Anderson Post 14 5-1 behind a great pitching performance from Porter Blum (5 innings) and Chase Meister who pitched two perfect innings for the save. Andrew Brandt (HR 💣) and Christian Timko each had three hits and Sanders Padgett added two. Come out to Furman tomorrow for game 2 of the series which will feature a giant 🇺🇸 flag ceremony pre-game.
