“More support means more pathways home.” 💙

This expanded partnership with Piedmont Health Foundation allows Greenville Together to grow our reach and help more neighbors find stable housing. Through this mission partnership we are expanding our housing navigation work by adding staff and strengthening our technology to better serve the community.

A new way to connect neighbors to help. 📞

Community members in Greenville can dial 211 for non emergency outreach support when they see someone who may need help. Calls are connected directly to Greenville Together’s outreach team to respond and provide support.

211 is a 24/7 non emergency resource line that connects Greenville County residents to available community resources. In partnership with United Way of Greenville County's 211, this is a step towards helping our neighbors in need.

This week's Welcome Home Wednesday we're featuring our own Outreach Specialist Russ. His journey is rooted in lived experience and what can happen when someone finally takes the time to listen. 💚

“I remember people looking through me... and I had a story to tell and if one person would have sat down and listened… and that is what I hope I can do today. Listen to someone’s story and possibly come up with a solution.”

No one expects to experience homelessness.

It doesn’t matter who you are it can happen to anyone. Dan our Outreach Specialist knows this firsthand after Hurricane Helene left him without a place to go. His story is a powerful reminder that many of us are closer to homelessness than we think.

This week's Welcome Home Wednesday highlighted our partnership with the Greenville Police Department and featured Chief Howie Thompson discussing our shared mission to address homelessness across Greenville County. Officers aren't just responding to calls; they're connecting our most vulnerable neighbors with the help they need.

The numbers speak for themselves: over half of the households we housed in 2025 were referred by Greenville Police Department officers.

✅ 240 interactions

This is what happens when a community decides to show up. Our Outreach Team is just getting started, and your support keeps them going. 💪

For this week’s Welcome Home Wednesday we’re highlighting our Outreach Manager Chris Rubio. His message is simple, homelessness can happen to anyone.

“It doesn’t matter where you’re from, it doesn’t matter who you are. Parked place to park bench, homelessness can affect anyone.” 💙
