The path to homelessness is exhausting and complex. There's rarely just one cause.

Rising rent, a medical emergency or an unstable paycheck can be enough to push a family over the edge. At Greenville Together, we meet and serve families and individuals experiencing homelessness every day, and understanding how they got here is the first step to helping them find their way back home.

211 is a non-emergency line that connects people to all kinds of community resources, including our homeless outreach team.

From the moment you call about someone experiencing homelessness, our team steps in to connect them with support and housing resources.

29% fewer people are experiencing unsheltered homelessness in Greenville County compared to last year.

That number comes from the Point in Time (PIT) Count, an annual one-night count where volunteers survey shelters and other places not meant for living. It helps our community understand who needs support and how to reach them. This progress is thanks to the hard work of countless providers, landlords, funders and neighbors across our community, all believing that homelessness is a solvable problem.

Greenville Together is built on partnerships. That includes landlords and property owners/agents.

Because of our partnership with landlords and property owners across Greenville, like NOAH Property Management, Greenville Together was able to house 154 people in 2025. Our Housing Partnership program is designed to be fast and easy for both the landlord and tenants including prompt payments and minimal paperwork, so that we can house individuals and families quickly.

We just housed our 200th person through Greenville Together. Behind that number are 200 stories, 200 sets of keys, 200 fresh starts. Grateful for everyone who made it possible.

From street outreach to housing stability, Greenville Together walks alongside every participant through the full journey home. Here's what that process actually looks like.

Last week, we hosted our first Day of Connection, an opportunity for volunteers to meet our neighbors where they're at, without judgement.

Each volunteer joined a Greenville Together Outreach team member in small groups and provided basic survival needs such as food, water, and resources.

Greenville Together has launched a 24/7 non-emergency resource line in partnership with United Way's 211 and the City of Greenville, connecting residents directly to our Outreach team for homeless outreach and support. This ensures a coordinated, consistent response across our community.
