Hello everyone, Elise here!
I have gotten many questions about when the spring season will open up for registration. At this time, I have made the decision to step down from my position as Coordinator of Healthy Kids Greenville. It was not an easy decision, and took many month to decide, so thank you for your patience. I cannot express how much this program has meant to me, I started running it when I was 19 and now I am 23 and married! It has truly been a wondeful experience getting to know all of you and your amazing runners. The community Healthy Kids has built is one that I will always treasure. Thank you for your support, kindness, and encouragement of this program! Because of my stepping down, I do not know what the spring season looks like. But here's what I do know...
We need a knew Coordinator! I am fully willing to help walk alongside whoever comes into this position, you will not be alone! It's awards week, again!! We are so excited to see you all and wrap up another wonderful season. Schedule for the day will be....

4PM Parent Mile
4:15 Volunteer Mile
4:30 Awards
5PM Done!

Due to the extended nature of our season this fall, we had our porta potties taken last week out of respect for the Masonic Lodge allowing us to keep it there for all of Oct, and because it costs money each week! Please allow time to use a public bathroom beforehand. Apologies for the inconvenience!

RACE POSTPONED! We will extend our season by one week to next Sunday, 16th! Due to it actually feeling like 26° out with wind chill, and our course being damp from rain, we do not feel comfortable having our young runners outside for an extended period of time. Please check your emails for more details regarding next Sunday.

Hey everyone! We are watching the weather closely for Sunday, and hoping for the best! If everything goes according to plan, here is the schedule of events....

3PM Races as usual
4PM Parent Mile
4:15PM Volunteer Mile
4:30PM awards
5PM done!

Our theme is blue and green and healthy kids shirts!

I will make a decision by 12:30 on Sunday if we will be able to run. We are currently working on backup plans for awards. I am most concerned about the safety of our runners and the temperature forecasted for the day. Because of these concerns, I will be sure to email, text, and post tomorrow and the day of to let everyone know what's happening! Thank you all, and healthy wishes,

Our hearts are grieving for the Versailles community. Today we took a moment of silence before our race to honor the life of this young man and his family. Darke County has experienced an incredible amount of loss this fall, our thoughts and prayers are with all who have been impacted. We encourage anyone struggling to seek out grief counseling, and the The House that Lulu Built has many resources available for those who are walking through grief. Thank you all💙💚

It is with the permission of the family and with a very heavy heart that I share this information. This afternoon, Saturday, November 1, 2025, 8th grader, Wesley Breeze passed away.

We will have grief counselors available at school tomorrow (Sunday) in the High School gym for students and families who wish to come together in support of each other and of the Breeze family. Anyone is welcome. The gym will be open at approximately at 1:00 and will stay open for however long is needed.
