Good evening, I would like to clarify a couple of things. As you all know, we have over 6500 kids this year to get toys to. When the toys are bagged and ready to go we email every parent for their day and their time to pick up. We do it from 6-9, it does fall on different days of the week, but that is in the email. We did state in our email this year that we would not have time to call the parents if they did not show up to pick up their toys.Email is the only way we contact the parents. That is stated on our website. But we have still called every single parent who has not picked their toys up. At 7pm we sit down and we start calling every parent that did not show up to pick up their kids toys in order to give them the opportunity to get there before we leave at 9pm. If the parent does not answer the phone, we leave a message or a text message stating our location and that it is their day to pick up their toys and if we do not get a response back from the parent that their toys will be given to another family in need. Our goal is to get these toys into the hands of parents for the children on Christmas morning, but we cannot hang on to these bags. We are limited on space in our warehouse, and this holds up bagging other families.' gifts who will come and pick them up on their scheduled time. Also, if we have toys sitting in a bag, it is not benefiting any child and we could be serving other parents who need them. If anyone should have any questions to how we distribute these toys and why we do not hold on to them for days on end, don't hesitate to reach out.
